Not.

That's actually a pretty decent looking interior.
Shame the same can't be said about the exterior.

If it hits showrooms looking exactly like that and I could get it without a bad CVT, it would be on a shopping list. Having a decently sorted suspension would also be nice. Maxima SE-R? Turbo 4 banger w/ a true automatic and more aggressive suspension? Could be fun and affordable.....

I guess I like the steering wheel. Has anyone driven the current gen version to find out if it is actually any good? I actually remember old maximas being quite nice cars to drive back inthe 90s. But I think currently we are dogging on the new one because it is most likely still FWD, automatic/CVT.

And it should be knows as MAXIMA ! I wish I could have something this nice that wasn't a FWD CVT POS.

Designed like the Qashqai?

The exterior is miles ahead the current one.

They need to stahp this.

Even though I get the point you're making, I'm still VERY okay with this. Might go check it out when it reaches dealers... crap does that make me boring

I think I am starting to like this.......or maybe it's just the color that I like.....

But I likes it.

This looks like a humongous barge

Rear beltline is about 4 inches too high

Miles in the wrong direction.
It still is ahead, it just looks bad.

If I got one, I would either vinyl or plasti-dip it to look like the old 300ZX racers

True. But that isn't really saying much.

...umm okay. That would be super aggressive for a DD, but 'Murica I guess.

I doubt it's bigger than your average Audi A6, it actually looks smaller than the previous generation.

At least the old CARP FACE is gone. I don't actually dis-like this as much as I would have thought... and at least it is going a different direction (an improvement over previous) compared to Kia Optima and others that are not as good looking as their previous iterations.
If the roof rails are going to be completely floating above the windows, and the center of the roof is blacked out anyway...
Then might as well either leave the roof rails blacked out...
Or paint them an interesting contrast color. Just making them body-color looks weird, because they aren't visually attached to the body-color on the lower panels.
At least the Sway concept actually used some color to spice up the looks, and the roofline isn't completely un-tethered.
Not that I would buy a sedan anymore anyway... no hatch, no care.

This is the last Maxima that I actually cared about:

Interior isn't bad. Exterior.... I just can't.

I'm actually impressed. It's a very nice looking car, both inside and out, in my opinion.

I wouldn't mind a Fiesta rival from Nissan that isn't ridiculously high or a crappy, cheap sedan.

In all honesty, I really like it. I like how (from the pictures at least) all of the controls seem to be driver-centric. The interior looks pretty nice and the new body styling looks much better than the previous generation. Any word on what the drivetrain options will be?
Also, I love that blue!

But what if I like how it looks and I REALLY LIKE IT.
